And if anyone can donate wine please let us know. Many of the women seem to prefer Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay. All for Only $50.00 Per Person

Payment accepted in person by Garry anywhere, including at Coffee, or at the April 15th or May 20th luncheons. If you cannot make the luncheons or find Garry in person, you can mail your check to Garry Trojanowski, 9575 Wellington Circle, Windsor, CA. 95492. Please make it out to “SIR Branch 176”. SIR Dave Harrison Life Membership

Dave Harrison Life Award

After nomination by our Branch BEC, Dave was awarded, from the State Level of SIRS, the “Honorary life member award”. The state has stringent requirements for one to receive such an award. The awardee (maximum of two in our branch) must have provided exceptional and extraordinary service, has stepped forward whenever the need arises, and has made improvements to benefit the branch. Dave has been an active member for over 14 years. Two weeks after joining the branch he became a board member due to the passing of the Attendance Chairman(what Ron Nordstrom does). The following year he also accepted the position of “Director at Large”, a two year commitment. In 2015 Dave became the “Little Sir” (Jock Rader was the Big Sir) and the Big Sir the following year. Then Dave took on the position of Assistant Secretary (backing up Phil Anderson). During that time he also assisted in planning the Christmas Parties and coordinating with Branch 17 for our picnics. Dave was also instrumental in the development of our couple’s dinners and assisted Gary Jensen in making the coffee time so popular. Due to Covid. our branch was inactive for a couple of years but when it fired up again, Dave became our Secretary and held that position through 2025. He also learned the program “Front Page” to help with our first webpage. Another significant accomplishment was his planning and organization of our first independent picnic in 2024. Dave with his wife Joy did an amazing job. Dave continues to serve as Bowling Chair, provides input for our next picnic and one can usually see Dave and Joy volunteering monthly during our foodbank service day. Hence, Dave more than met the requirements for one of the most distinguished SIR awards. Dave’s attitude towards all of this volunteering? “My life has been greatly enriched and rewarded by virtue of my participation in our Branch. I have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know a host of wonderful men and women in the process.” Dave Harrison. After nomination by our Branch BEC, Dave was awarded, from the State Level of SIRS, the “Honorary life member award”. Updated Members Page

Check out the updated Members page on the website under Branch 176 heading. We have increased the size of the photos and we have tried to get as many profiles as possible. If you are one of those without a profile or with an older one that needs to be updated you can begin by going to the Branch 176 tab, clicking on forms and downloading the Profile Guide. This will guide you with suggestions of the things about you that our members might be interested to know. Our Profile editor Gary Good will be happy to help you craft your life story.

Branch 176 Business Cards

We have received our Branch 176 business cards. These can be distributed to potential new members to help them get in touch with us. You can add your name and number at the bottom if you wish to continue with the contact. You can get some from Garry Trojanowski.

Meeting Attendance

To benefit fully from your membership in Windsor Sir we strongly recommend that you make an effort to attend the monthly meeting. We encourage you to make the effort to come, enjoy lunch and be informed by our speaker.
We are aware that some members have expressed issues with dietary restrictions. Jimmy's has expressed a willingness to try to accommodate members with restrictions. If you need a modified lunch please let Steve De La Montanya know by the Monday before the meeting if you need accommodation so we can notify Jimmy's.
If you need transportation let Chris Roach know and he will put you in touch with someone to drive you.

New Member Application Changes

We have a revised membership application now available. As part of the recruitment process we now ask potential members to attend two SIR events before being considered for membership. This is designed to make for a more informed choice to join. If you bring a new potential member please fill out the Visitor Registration Form and give it to Gary or Larry.

Food Bank Volunteers

We are looking for someone to step up and volunteer to lead this activity. If that is you please let Tom Palmer know.

Be Friendly

It has been pointed out that we have lost several potential members because they didn't feel welcomed and accepted. If you see a new member or potential member take a moment to introduce yourself and get to meet them.
